About Anita
Anita loves to help and inspire others. She does this through her work as a mental health counselor and an event speaker. She obtained her master’s degree in Counseling from Liberty University in 2012. In 2022 she moved to Delaware, Oh and started her own virtual practice. She has a wide range of experience, including, working in private practice, community agencies, equine therapy, as well as collaborating with the court to help adolescents and adults in the criminal justice system.
Anita specializes in trauma, recovery from divorce, breakup, or abuse, self-esteem issues, as well as grief, depression and anxiety. She enjoys facilitating groups and working individually with adult clients.
She has 3 adult children and two grandchildren. Hiking, board games, and traveling are interests that she enjoys. She likely has chocolate on hand at any given moment.

Hello! Seeking guidance from a stranger is not an easy thing to do, so I commend you for taking steps to consider how to help yourself! I believe that growth can come from any situation and finding coping skills and hope while also making room for difficult emotions creates resilience. Whether you would just like a listening ear or guidance for specific ways to improve your life, I am here to assist you. I have experience in helping people through break ups, divorce, loss, trauma, abuse, stress, self-esteem issues, boundary issues, anxiety, depression, and more.
You will be treated with compassion and care, as well as gentle challenges to explore the truth so that you can truly grow and develop the changes in your life that you desire. My intention is to equip you with the tools you need to succeed at your goals. I use CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, EMDR and other trauma therapy techniques. I see adult individuals living in the state of Ohio through virtual appointments only.
What to expect:
-The first session is 55-60 minutes for an intake assessment. $125
-Each following session is 45-50 minutes. $100
-Full amount is due at the time of service; no insurance billing
-Some health insurances will reimburse and you can be provided a "superbill" receipt for this purpose; it is up to you to contact your insurance to see if that is an option on your plan
-The frequency of sessions is determined by what is agreed upon with you as being most beneficial; typically weekly or bi-weekly and transitioning to monthly or as needed.
